First off service was amazing. We’ve come here quite a bit and normally the food is really good. Today the steak was very chewy like it was a cheaper grade of beef. I also tried the salmon for the first and last time. Fried rice, veggies, soup, and shrimp were really good. My wife said the chicken was really good.

Josiah was amazing and very funny!! The triple delight for two is very well proportioned!! We will be returning. Our host was so polite.

We visited Sapporo Hibachi Steakhouse for a birthday celebration because we had a great experience here a few years ago. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different and very disappointing. Although the restaurant was nearly empty, the service was quite slow. Our waitress was friendly and polite, but there were communication issues throughout the meal. She often seemed to misunderstand our orders, and she spoke so quietly that it was difficult for our table to hear her. There were also several mistakes with the meals. Half of our party received salads but no soup, while the other half received soup but no salad. The hibachi chef was the highlight of the evening. He was funny, entertaining, and did a great job engaging our group. However, the food itself was underwhelming. The portion sizes were much smaller than we remembered, especially considering the price. My steak arrived partially cooked and was still cold, which was disappointing. Another noticeable change was the lack of sauces. In the past, they provided multiple sauces, including ginger sauce, but now only yum yum sauce is offered. We stopped in without a reservation. The restaurant was very busy but they were able to accommodate our small group of three. There was a short delay to order and get drinks. Our soup and salad was delivered as our chef was cooking our main entrée. We could see the few waitresses were extremely busy so drink refills were hard to celebrate by. Our hibachi chef was entertaining and even broke into song a few times. One highlight was the bot who delivered sushi to our corner of the table. If you celebrate your special day the bot even sings happy birthday. We will certainly be back again. The restaurant itself could use a strong cleaning.

Came in with my son for lunch and his first hibachi experience. Since it was lunch, I assumed it would be quiet, but didn’t realize we would be the only people in the restaurant. Another two people came in after we got our food. We both ordered the steak hibachi lunch and they brought a small watery salad to our table. There was literally a pool of water at the bottom of the bowl when we finished eating it. I generally don’t love my salad wet. And they also brought us mushroom soup. I had never had that before, but it had a good flavor. We both also got drinks, my Diet Coke was very watered down and flat. If you like crisp Diet Coke, this isn’t the place for it. Our chef came over to the table and began the fun. The fire was so large I literally almost lost my eyebrows. Sheesh, didn’t realize it would come so close to my face. But he put on a good show, bouncing squash into our mouths for us to catch. And squirting juice in my son’s mouth. He really got a kick out of it. The flavors of the food were very good and the portions of rice are enormous! Like 3 cups of rice per plate! I wish I had more steak to go with it, lol.
